Wake Up America...missionaries are coming to us!

Today in the store I ran into a young man from Mongolia. He is a missionary here for one year. I asked him how open the people in Mongolia are to Jesus. He said everyone knows who Jesus is and that Christianity is good. This is a buddhist nation sending a spirit filled Christian to America. He said more people seem to be open to the gospel in Mongolia than they are here. A nation that is supposed to be a "Christian" nation is, in all actuallity, blinded to its own moral decay. All over the world people are crying out for more of Jesus and He is answering. But here in the USA we are living in luxery and appear to have no need of Him. Wake up America and arise from your slumber! It seems nations that have been against the gospel are now open to it and the country that was based on religious freedom is slowly closing the doors on it and the church is allowing it to happen by sitting back in our complacency and forming churches to fit the mold of non-abrasive, non-offendi…

Give God 15 minutes and See What He Can Do

Sunday morning I spoke at Amana Christian Fellowship in Maurice. I had a 15 minute window and had been praying all week that God would speak through me. I wanted to say what He wanted me to say. After I spoke some of the prayer warriors came up and prayed for me and let me tell you I could feel the power of the Holy Ghost. Then they took up a very generous offering and quite a few people took pledge forms. I had a wonderful time; the church and the people were absolutey wonderful. I know God is going to bless them for their faithfulness.

Why Be A Missionary

1.) Romans 10:14 "How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will then they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?"

2.) "It's all about you, Jesus, and all of this is for You, for Your glory and Your fame, it's not about me, as if You should do things my way, You alone are God and I surrender to Your ways..." -Jesus, Lover of My Soul; Passion: The Road to One Way

3.) ..."I cried, 'Save us Oh God' and He has replied, 'Today is the Day of Salvation how many more must die? Now is the time and this is the place. My Spirit is upon you now adminnister my grace. Mercy for the wicked, compassion for the poor, freedom for the captives, now open wide the door. Freely you have received now freely you must give. This is my burden; my heartbeat in this hour. Share in my grief and I will share my power. Humble now yourselves under the mighty hand of God view me as the Holy One whose …

Locks of Love

I had planned on chopping off my hair right before I left for El Salvador. However, I was getting tired of it being so long so I decided to donate my hair to Locks of Love. Locks of Love is an organization that takes donated hair and makes them into wigs for children who have lost their hair due to sickness. So I went yesterday and the girl divided my hair into pigtails and cut them off...about 11 inches. I feel 20 lbs. lighter and I really do love my new short hair. I have pictures on flickr so you can just click on the link and check out my new hair cut.

All the days are NOW for Him

Well, the new year has quickly come upon us. I really thought that I would be in El Salvador by now; but I am not. However, I know there is a reason for it. I am striving to be like Paul, content in all situations. Allowing God to use me wherever I may be.

I have been watching two children ever since the fall school semester started because their mother went into labor and had their sister 23 weeks early. Now at 25 or 26 weeks later, the baby is still in the hospital. It has been such a joy to get to know this family and to help them out. But I know the best way I have been helping them out is praying for the healing of baby Emily. That may be a reason why I am still here.

I have learned so much this past year. My faith has greatly increased. Everyday God reveals things in me that need to be worked on; that need to be changed. That may be a reason why I am still here.

I can not wait to leave for El Salvador but I know there are people everywhere who need Jesus and I want to do what I ca…
