Everyday Danger

Today our Madre, the lady who cleans the International House, came in late. I was outside washing my clothes and she looked upset. She told me that on the bus some "guys" were going down the isle with a knife asking everyone for a dollar. That is a typical thing the gangs do on the busses here and is one of the reasons we are not allowed to ride on the busses. It is a danger that many people in this country have to face everyday. She started crying as she was telling me the story because she said that she didn't have a dollar to give all she had was her Bible, but because of the blood of Jesus nothing happened to her.
